Depending on the USB 3.0 host controller manufacturer, ScanSnap iX500 may not be recognized. In this case, connect to a USB 2.0 port to avoid the error until the driver correcting this error is released by each manufacturer.

  2. Click the mark (or the “+” mark) left next to “Universal Serial Bus controllers” (or “USB　(Universal Serial Bus) controllers”)
  3. The manufacturer name appears in XXXX of “XXXX USB 3.0 Host Controller” (or “XXXX USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller”, “XXXX XHCI Controller” etc).
